On Friday, April 24, 2026, "Infaprim" owner Zafar Azimov visited the construction site in Istra, Moscow Region, where a medical nutrition manufacturing facility is scheduled to begin operations in the nearest future.

The project is of strategic importance for the country. Once the facility reaches full production capacity, Russia will be able to meet 100% of domestic needs for enteral nutrition products, eliminating dependence on imports in this critically important sector.

A comprehensive modernization of the existing quality control laboratory is currently underway. The laboratory is designed to ensure rigorous testing of incoming raw materials and finished products. In addition, a new production facility for medical and enteral nutrition products is being constructed.

The project includes the installation of advanced manufacturing equipment, which will significantly increase production capacity and expand the range of products that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Construction is scheduled for completion in September–October 2026. Total investment in the project amounts to RUB 4 billion. Azimov emphasized that the initiative is being implemented as part of Russia’s import substitution program and is directly linked to the country’s food security and the health of its citizens.

During a tour of the construction site and a meeting with the project team, Zafar Azimov stressed that the development of domestic medical nutrition production is a long-term strategic priority rather than a one-time initiative.

“We are building an industry that will serve both people and the state for decades to come. Providing Russia with domestically produced medical nutrition is not only an economic objective but also a matter of national responsibility,” said the owner of Infaprim.

Once fully operational, the facility will increase Infaprim’s annual production output by an additional 3 million liters and create 50 new jobs. The project will make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Moscow Region.
